Tracking system for your ground support equipment
Hundreds of dollies and baggage trailers, several passenger steps and a large airport area. This is how it looks at most airports. Aircraft handling must be fast and smooth, because only an aircraft in the air is economical. That is why every minute counts on the ground.
In order not to lose track of the ground support equipment, we have developed a unique tracking system that not only locates the objects. On request, we can add a load sensor to the tracking system that detects metal containers etc. on the dollies. It is also possible to add a temperature sensor or some other similar feature. Compile your individual tracking system.
We have deliberately opted for an open system so that the data can be integrated into the airport's own systems if required.
The advantages of the tracking system
The Blumenbecker tracking system provides maintenance-free motion tracking and sensor technology using rechargeable batteries and solar modules. This means that large amounts of information can be transmitted on an ongoing basis. Further modules such as RFID, load sensor, temperature sensor, defect message and many more can be connected to the open tracking system.
The components of the tracking system
Tracking module
The solar-powered locating module transmits the data via LoRaWAN or M2M. BLE will also be possible in the future. The data can be sent to existing systems and can be integrated.
Load sensor
Unique sensor that detects aluminium in the immediate vicinity, contact-free and electronically. The loading condition is continuously transferred to the airport's monitoring system.
RFID transponder
Unique identification of the object via RFID. Individual data of the object can be called up via the transponder, such as the object number or the maintenance history.
Protective plate
The protective plate protects the locating system against external damage from containers, luggage or adverse weather conditions.
Malfunction indicator
A fault message can be sent at the push of a button on the tracking system. This enables defective devices to be quickly identified and serviced. In addition, empty runs of the tugs can be avoided.

Our ePassenger step is solar-powered and fully electric. An integrated distance monitoring system prevents damage to the aircraft. The step has a very small turning circle due to an additional wheel on the drawbar.

Baggage trailer in lightweight construction
Our brand new baggage trailer in lightweight construction has a total weight of approx. 300 kg instead of 600 kg. This allows us to achieve lower energy consumption for the tractor vehicle. Handling by hand is also much easier.
