Trusses
The traverse is a load-bearing device used to transport materials that cannot be lifted with a simple hook. Pipes, paper rolls with core tubes, mesh boxes, or mold boxes have multiple centers of gravity or load-bearing points. In such cases, the traverse is used as a transport device to ensure that the object being transported reaches its destination safely. Thanks to the various load-bearing points, long materials and objects with different centers of gravity can also be transported safely.
There are various types of spreaders:
- with adjustable chain rollers
- chain suspension, and side hooks
- with infinitely adjustable crane suspensions
- a swivel mechanism, and a handwhee
- with slat hooks
- with extendable beams and two slat hooks
- and with fixed-position gripping arms
We carry standard trusses in our product range, but we also offer custom designs. Through personalized on-site consultation and planning, we can provide you with a truss that is precisely tailored to your needs.
Full-service support for trusses – repair, maintenance, and inspections
Experienced specialists diagnose and repair trusses quickly, either on-site or in our workshops. The same applies to any maintenance work and repairs. And in the event that the problem cannot be resolved on-site, we offer a hassle-free pickup and delivery service.
Floor conveyors
Considering the heavy loads that floor conveyors and load-carrying attachments have to handle, regular inspections make good sense – and are often compulsory. Many items, including pallet lifters and lifting tables, have to be inspected by a qualified expert at least once a year.
To keep downtime to a minimum, our personnel inspect your equipment at your premises using mobile inspection stations. The same applies to any maintenance or repairs that might be required. And if the problem cannot be fixed on site, we offer a user-friendly pick-up and drop-off service.
Service for floor conveyors of all types, including:
- Pallet trucks
- Electric lifting trucks
- Scissor lifting trucks
- Lifting tables
- Pallet lifters
Frequently asked questions about the lifting technology exam
How often must lifting equipment be inspected?
According to DGUV Regulation 54, lifting equipment must be inspected at least once a year by a qualified person. Shorter inspection intervals may be required in cases of intensive use or under special operating conditions. Lifting chains also require a non-destructive crack inspection every 3 years.
What is inspected during a DGUV inspection of lifting equipment?
During the inspection, all safety-critical components are checked: lifting accessories (chains, ropes, hooks), brakes, housings, safety devices, and the electrical components of power-driven lifting equipment. In addition, a functional test is performed under load.
Can the inspection be conducted on-site?
Yes, Blumenbecker conducts DGUV inspections directly at your location. Our service technicians will come to you with mobile testing equipment to minimize downtime. Alternatively, the equipment can also be inspected at our workshops.
What documentation will I receive after the inspection?
After each inspection, you will receive a legally compliant digital inspection report, which will be immediately available in our customer portal. The report documents all inspected components, any defects, and the next inspection dates.
How much does a hoisting equipment inspection cost?
The cost depends on the number and type of devices to be inspected. Contact us for a personalized quote—we’d be happy to create a customized maintenance and inspection plan for your entire fleet.
