Orthopedic Insoles for Safety Shoes GETSTEPS | Blumenbecker

Order certified orthopedic insoles for safety and work shoes easily through Blumenbecker at GetSteps. All GetSteps insoles for work and safety shoes are type-tested and comply with DGUV Rule 112-191. This ensures that you and your employees are always on the safe side.

Why insoles for safety shoes?

More than 12 million people in Germany—one in five adults—wear orthopedic insoles. Orthopedic insoles are the most commonly prescribed medical aid for foot, knee, and back pain, and have been proven to alleviate and prevent these conditions.

For many industrial workers, safety shoes are the shoes they wear most often—and this is precisely where it’s important to provide them with the best possible support. In this way, your company makes a targeted investment in the health of your employees and actively works to reduce the number of days lost to illness.

Which orthopedic insoles should be used with safety shoes?

Orthopedic insoles intended for personal use or comfort insoles from drugstores are not permitted in work and safety shoes. The reason: Non-certified insoles alter the tested design, causing the safety shoe’s certification to become invalid. In the event of a workplace accident, this can lead to liability exclusions.

Orthopedic insoles must therefore be certified specifically for the respective safety shoe brand and model. GetSteps issues an EU Declaration of Conformity for each insole—tailored to the individual and compatible with the specific shoe model.

What is DGUV 112-191?

The German Social Accident Insurance (DGUV) establishes rules for occupational safety and health to reduce work-related accidents and hazards. DGUV Rule 112-191 specifically governs the use of foot and knee protection—and thus also specifies which orthopedic insoles may be worn in safety shoes.

Reducing absenteeism with insoles for safety shoes

Your employees stand and walk all day in safety shoes—a constant strain on their feet and musculoskeletal system. Foot misalignments are a widespread condition affecting one in five employees. If the foundation isn’t stable, the entire body loses its balance. Common consequences include foot, knee, and back pain—and, as a result, sick leave. With orthopedic insoles, you address this very foundation and actively work to reduce sick days. Even from the very first day of reduced sick leave, providing modern, preventive orthotic insoles pays off financially for your company.

The effectiveness of insoles has been proven
72% experience less pain, 69% find it easier to move, 38% feel more secure in their shoes, and 25% have improved their balance.

Insoles for foot deformities

Insoles for your safety shoes can correct foot deformities. These include:

- Flat feet
- Fallen arches
- Splay feet
- Knick feet
- High arches

They provide optimal support for your feet and restore the stability you’ve been missing.

Workwear

Workwear is clothing that is required to be worn, or can be worn, to protect the wearer. In medical and gastronomical settings, it also ensures hygiene and protects clothing. In metalworking settings, such as welding, workwear is part of the worker’s protective equipment. In other workplaces, such as road construction, we will provide you with a high-visibility vest and protective gloves.

For other areas, e.g. road construction, we can supply you with safety vests and protective gloves. Blumenbecker offers you a wide range of workwear for a wide variety of professional groups.

Our services

Consulting

Blumenbecker offers a wide range of services for its occupational safety. Our most important service, though, is probably pre-sales consulting. We work with you to analyse individual requirements and develop the solutions that consider not just your technical needs but your budget as well. Our goal is always to supply the best-possible solution for you.

On-site sizing service

To help your clothing project run smoothly, we offer an on-site sizing service to determine the size of workwear for each of your employees, with fittings provided right at the workplace.

Skin protection plans

A skin protection plan tells your employees what skin products they should use when they work in certain areas. We help you complete the plans, which are then posted next to the individual wash stations for your employees’ information.

Laundering programmes

We can develop an individual laundering programme for your employees’ workwear and other textiles that will lighten your load. We can even manage all your company’s apparel and textiles from start to finish – so you don’t have to.

Foot protection systems

We can supply effective foot protection systems tailored to your requirements to protect the health and safety of your employees.

Shoe measurements

Every foot is different and has different requirements for the fit of a safety shoe. We measure the feet of your employees with our mobile foot measurement system. The scanner accurately captures foot geometries and immediately identifies the perfect shoe size and width.

Workwear programmes

We can develop an innovative and customised workwear programme based on your corporate identity (CI). Employees who wear branded workwear automatically become part of your company’s branding. The unique look of your workwear raises your profile and promotes team spirit in your workforce.

Head and face protection programmes

We can develop tailor-made safety programmes for head, eye, ear and respiratory protection for you, always based on relevant EN standards and workplace requirements. We also factor in ergonomic aspects because we know that good ergonomics improves employee acceptance of PPE.
