How often do Kärcher machines need to be inspected for commercial use?
Kärcher equipment used for commercial purposes must undergo a safety inspection at least once a year as electrical equipment in accordance with BetrSichV and DIN VDE 0701/0702. In addition, an inspection must be performed before initial commissioning and after every repair or significant modification. For high-pressure washers and cleaning machines, DGUV 100-500 also applies. The exact inspection cycle can be individually adjusted based on a risk assessment.
What is the difference between a DGUV 100-500 inspection and a DIN VDE 0701/0702 inspection?
DIN VDE 0701/0702 is the general testing standard for electrical equipment following repair and re-inspection. DGUV 100-500 is the overarching occupational safety regulation for the safe operation of certain work equipment—including cleaning equipment such as high-pressure washers. Both regulations may apply simultaneously; Blumenbecker inspects your Kärcher equipment in accordance with all relevant regulations in a single inspection.
Can all types of Kärcher equipment be repaired and serviced?
Yes.
