List of robotic workplaces implemented by Blumenbecker Prag

In the production hall of Isola Powertekk s.r.o. in Bohdíkov you can find a total of three of our robotic workplaces:

  • Robotic press operation
  • Robotic handling of pressed parts onto a conveyor
  • Robotic palletization of roof tiles onto a pallet

Description of the robotic projects

Robotic press operation
To ensure automatic press operation, a KUKA KR 22 robot was placed on both sides of the press. The first robot, located on an elevated base, is used to load the input blank into the press tool. The second robot is located at the rear of the press and is designed to remove the finished product from the press tool and then place it on a pallet. The most important element of the whole project was to design the grab so that the robot would be able to insert the blank into the relatively narrow gap of the press and avoid collision. Our engineering department was able to cope with this task excellently.

Robotic handling of pressed parts on conveyor
The basis of the workplace is the KUKA KR22 R1610-2 industrial robot, which manipulates the pressed parts on the conveyor. The robot's gripper is equipped with vacuum suction cups and a vacuum ejector, which can be found on the robot's third axis. It is also designed to be able to detect the last piece on the pallet. The robot itself, based on the input values, determines the height of the pallet and the picking points. An additional requirement of the customer was also to ensure that the product is transferred to the top or bottom side, depending on the orientation of the tied pieces.

Robotic palletization of roof tiles onto a pallet
The entire workplace is operated by a KUKA KR30 R2100 industrial robot, which is equipped with a grabber for removing panels directly from the output conveyor. The robot then stacks the removed parts directly onto the pallet. An important element of the project was the logical positioning of the pallet locations and their subsequent movement, in the context of the extremely confined space.

Our customer says:

»There are many suppliers of robotic workstations on the market today and it is not easy to choose a reliable partner able to come up with the right solution, able to deliver the equipment on time and provide long-term reliable service.

I am glad that we have chosen Blumenbecker Prag for our projects.«
