Professional maintenance, servicing, and emergency standby service for passenger boarding bridges

Our client:

The ADELTE Group is headquartered in Barcelona and is an engineering company with more than 60 years of experience. This international company specializes in the development and manufacture of high-quality products and services for airports, cruise terminals, nd ferry terminals.

ADELTE gangways and passenger bridges are used worldwide. In Germany, ADELTE Sea Passenger Boarding Bridges are located in Kiel, Hamburg, and Bremerhaven.

The task

The three Sea Passenger Boarding Bridges in Bremerhaven are 57 meters long, making them the longest of their kind, and combine efficiency in passenger handling with state-of-the-art technology. The movements of the ship can be compensated for at any tide. The bridges run on two rails and, on the water side, on rubber wheels. This allows them to be moved lengthwise along the quay to dock appropriately with the ship and terminal building.

ADELTE was looking for a competent local partner for maintenance, repair, and emergency standby service.

The service

Blumenbecker service technicians are on hand to ensure that the Sea Passenger Boarding Bridges function smoothly and reliably. The three passenger bridges are serviced on a monthly, quarterly, and half-yearly basis. Two service technicians need around two working days to complete the half-yearly inspection. The maintenance agenda includes the electrical control system, the chassis, the PLC control system, and the mechanical elements.
