Appliances for Miele Professional are developed and produced at the competence center for commercial laundry care in Lehrte. These include washing machines and dryers with a load capacity of 9 to 32 kilograms, as well as mangles and domestic ironing systems. The appliances for professional use are employed in hospitals and hotels, among other places. Around 400 people work at the plant.
The task
Since 2013, Blumenbecker service technicians have been performing maintenance, testing, and servicing for cranes, load-bearing equipment and slings, ladders, and steps at the plant in Lehrte. The test status of the systems and operating equipment must be monitored. The objects are subject to legally prescribed tests, which must be carried out on time. All test certificates must be presented during an audit. This involves a high level of administrative effort and a lot of paper documentation. The documentation needed to be made clearer.
The service
In the past, customers had to manually sign up to 400 test certificates at a time. Today, it only takes a few clicks.
With the maintenance customer portal, customers can keep track of the maintenance and inspection status of their equipment at all times – and access the relevant documents at the touch of a button. Customers can access all data at any time and from anywhere using their personalized login details. Once the inspection has been completed, the portal classifies the equipment into the categories “passed” and “failed.” In addition, the “passed with complaints” status enables customers to identify problems early on and have them rectified. This prevents impending failures. Digital storage and search functions save customers a lot of time. Customers can submit inquiries and orders directly in the customer portal. They also receive legally compliant and complete documentation of the inspection reports.
