Blumenbecker donates to moorland conservation Christmas donation 2025
This year, we are once again staying true to our Christmas motto of “donations instead of gifts.” With this year's donation, we are supporting moorland conservation in Lower Saxony with €10,000.
Why moors in particular? When moors are drained or destroyed, they release enormous amounts of climate-damaging greenhouse gases and lose their important buffer function in the ecosystem. The preservation and rewetting of moors are therefore essential measures for the sustainable conservation of the climate, biodiversity, and natural landscape structures.
“With our donation for moorland conservation in Lower Saxony, we are sending a signal for this unique habitat. As a company, we bear responsibility for our environment. Moorland landscapes are indispensable for the future of coming generations, and their protection is close to our hearts,” emphasizes Caren Borges, spokesperson for the management board.
