For Generations – Since Generations

Blumenbecker was founded in 1922. Many of our employees have been part of the team for a long time. 10 years, 25 years, 40 years – every year we celebrate our company anniversaries with a show at the GOP Varieté in Münster. And this year, a very special honoree was among the guests.

Michael started on August 1, 1975 (!) with his apprenticeship as an electric motor builder, followed by further training as an electrical equipment mechanic in the distribution assembly department.

Since the early 1980s, he worked in switchgear construction, where he was responsible for wiring and installing machines for various customers. In addition, he occasionally filled in as a truck driver during vacation periods.
Michael has witnessed and helped shape 50 years of Blumenbecker.

On the day of his anniversary, he also entered his well-deserved retirement. Since then, he has had more time for his many hobbies, such as model railroading and classic cars.

When he wants to catch up on news about his former employer, he simply asks his son. Tobias works as a project manager at Blumenbecker.

And then there’s the annual Blumenbecker alumni meeting. Recently, it attracted Michael and nearly 40 retirees to the restaurant Zur Windmühle in Beckum.

During a presentation, they learned the latest news about their old employer. Memories and anecdotes came back to life over coffee, cake, and sandwiches.

The meeting is a cherished tradition to welcome new retirees into the circle of alumni. Together with Astrid Blumenbecker, the participants enjoyed an afternoon full of news and nostalgia.
