Phoenix Contact’s range of products includes motor starters and frequency converters for operating three-phase asynchronous generators in two power ranges (namely 0.3 – 1.4 kW and 1.5 – 3.7 kW), with IP 20 protection for switchboards (Inline range), a metal design to IP 54 for industrial applications, and a stainless steel design to IP 67 for food industry and filling applications.

A copper or optical cable is used for the connection to INTERBUS. Using these modules dispenses with the need for expensive parallel wiring by employing compact, distributed units with an electronic module for full motor operation (start/stop, current protection, thermal protection, motor direction) in its place. Key features of all the modules are simple, clear wiring and quick assembly and disassembly. The motor current is programmed as a parameter via a bus, so there is only one spare part for all motor ratings in a single range.
