On 1 March 2010, there was a change of leadership for Blumenbecker Group. Wolfgang Albertz, who has been Managing Director of B+M Blumenbecker GmbH since 2001, is retiring. His successor is Dr Wolfgang Fink.
Wolfgang Albertz has been the driving force behind the rapid growth and internationalisation of the Group over the last nine years. Under his leadership, turnover increased from €60 million to €125 million (in 2008) and the number of staff rose from 600 to 1,000.
Dr Fink took up his position as Managing Director of B+M Blumenbecker GmbH in Beckum on 1 October last year.
He did a degree in industrial engineering with business studies in the Saarland, followed by a doctorate at Kiel University. After beginning his career by working for Siemens in Munich, he moved in 1991 to CEAG in Dortmund. In 2007 he was appointed Chairman of the Board of Norgren in the Lower Rhine town of Alpen . Married with children, he lives in Dortmund. Dr Fink is also the new sole managing director of Blumenbecker Holding.
